Qi sounds like “Chee” and Gong sounds like “Gung,” rhyming with the word “lung.”

They’re similar but not the same. In Qigong, I will teach you more about the meditative side through the breathing practices.

You may need a chair if you decide you need to sit down during the session. No other equipment is needed. I recommend using a chair that has no arms.

Yes! Get a free Zoom account at Zoom.us. Download the Zoom app to your computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. *The larger the screen, the easier it is to see the instructions. Some people connect their computers to their TV.

Please take responsibility for your own safety and well-being.
Make adjustments in the practice area, such as moving a small rug which could shift on you during practice.
Make sure your arms will be free to swing around your body without hitting a wall or furniture.
Your Home Practice Waiver will also need to be signed and submitted before the Zoom session(s).

Yes, I’m starting off at an easy pace. I currently work part-time at the Mt Pleasant Recreation Department, The Mt Pleasant Senior Center, Franke at Seaside and Atria of Mt Pleasant.

In order to attend this class, you’ll need to have a membership to the Senior Center and also purchase a Senior Center class pass.
I also have my husband and 2 of our five children to keep up with. I may offer some pop-up classes during the summer.

I work with folks who have various sorts of physical pain, who have poor balance, and who have had surgeries.
I work with people who are interested in pursuing an exercise that is either standing or sitting and never on the ground or floor.
I work with folks who have taken yoga and other martial arts classes.

Class length will range between 45 minutes to one hour.

PAY PER CLASS – You can pay per class individually every time you sign up. Stand alone classes are just $10/class. Sign up for class here!
